Since 2017, ISS has provided integrated facility management services for Company A, including security, cleaning, shuttle buses, technical, supplier management, and central customer service. Through the optimization and standardization of non-core processes, we enable them to focus on their core business, strengthen cost management, improve end-user experience, and continuously drive productivity.

ISS provides service support for up to 97 of Company A's project sites in China, including factories, R&D centers, office buildings, and warehouses. In recent years, guided by the "Dual Carbon" goals, the ISS engineering technology and project management team has continuously focused on the energy consumption of buildings, assets, and equipment, helping the client effectively manage energy, reduce costs, decrease energy emissions, and achieve sustainable goals.

Based on best practices from global client projects, combined with the actual conditions of local operations, ISS provides Company A with effective and systematic innovative solutions to save energy usage in the client's work and production. Below are two practical case studies.

1. Compressed Gas Energy Saving Case Study

Original Site Conditions

The air compressor station at one of Company A's factories in Guangdong was originally equipped with 6 air-cooled variable frequency screw air compressors and 2 sets of compressed air purification equipment, supplying centralized air to various production workshops. Due to the operating principle of the heatless regenerative desiccant dryer, during the working process of the CD480 dryer, every 240 seconds it consumes 1 tank of compressed air and purges exhaust for 195 seconds.

Renovation Plan

Upgrading and renovating the CD480 dryer by converting the unit to a blower heated regeneration method. The regeneration air consumption of the dryer is expected to decrease by 7%. Estimating the power consumption based on 4,000 hours of annual operation, the net savings in power consumption are estimated to be 48,000 kWh.

Main Results

The project was completed at the end of March this year and put into use in April. Comparing the electricity consumption of the air compressor room over the past three months (April-June), it decreased by 13% compared to the same period last year, showing significant energy-saving effects.

2. Air Handling Unit EC Fan Renovation Case Study

Original Site Conditions

Company A factory is equipped with a total of over 170 AHUs (Air Handling Units) and MAUs (Make-up Air Units). The fans were belt-driven, and upon testing, the operating efficiency was generally below 45%.

Renovation Plan

Based on on-site equipment operating hours, operating loads, and on-site installation conditions, 101 modular air handling units were selected for energy-saving renovations in batches and phases. EC fans were used to replace the original motors and fans, improving the actual operating efficiency of the air handling units.

Main Results

After the renovated air handling units were put into use following the modification, the average energy-saving rate calculated based on measured energy consumption data was 34.13%.
